MELBOURNE, Fla. - -Bethune-Cookman University's
Marcus Sundlof posted his third top ten finish of the season as he tied for sixth place at the Panther Invitational hosted by FIT.
The senior from Sweden posted a 54 hole total of 218, including an opening round of 70. Â
"It was good for Marcus to compete among some of the elite collegiate golfers in the nation," said Interim Head Coach Robert "Tony"Â O'Neal. "Marcus is stepping up as a senior and playing the way we expect from him."
The Wildcats finished 12
th in the team standings with a score of 318 .
In his return to the line-up,
Christian Hovstadius (74-77-81 232) tied for 35
th.
"I'm very proud of Christian's effort this weekend," O'Neal said. "He'll regain his form. "And our younger players are progressing each week. I'm excited about this team's potential."
Jesper Gullstrad (88-77-83 248) was 62
nd,
Devin Smith (84-86-79 249) tied for 63
rd and
Carlos Arteta (87-91-85 263) was 73
rd.
