JACKSON, Miss. – Bethune-Cookman made a successful Southwestern Athletic Conference debut with a 3-0 victory at Mississippi Valley State Friday before falling 3-0 to Jackson State Sunday.
The Lady Wildcats (1-12,1-1) rallied for 25-22 and 29-27 set victories before controlling the third set 25-14. The offense got big nights from
Aryn Spencer and
Alleah Dallas to stop the Delta Devils (1-4,0-1).
Jackson State (2-10,2-0) took the early advantage en route to a 25-14,25-14,25-9 decision.
Davis had three kills and three blocks for B-CU while
Jasmine Moore and Henry each posted three kills.
Jacynta Williams led the defense with eight digs.
B-CU plays its first home match Friday against arch-rival Florida A&M at 6 p.m. The match will be the Lady Wildcats annual WHITEOUT game.
