Williams Athletic and Assembly Center in Jackson with tip-off set for 1:30 p.m. ET. BCU travels to Alcorn on Monday, Jan. 23, at 6:30 pm ET.

SCOUTING JACKSON STATE
With a 7-8 overall record, Jackson State is tied alongside Bethune-Cookman for second place in the league with a 4-1 SWAC record. The loss for the Tigers was their first in two calendar years. The Tigers are 3-0 at home with wins against Southeastern Louisiana, Alabama State and Alabama A&M, respectively. JSU defeated Texas Southern by an 87-58 decision in their last outing.
- Ti'lan Boler leads the Tigers with 11.1 points per game, adding 4.4 rebounds per contest as well
- Liz Martino is pouring in 9.4 points per game for the Tigers
- Keshuna Luckett (56) and Jariyah Covington (39) charge the Tigers in assists
LAST TIME OUT AGAINST THE TIGERS
Kayla White scored 15 points in Bethune-Cookman's 83-64 Southwestern Conference setback at Jackson State. Ameysha Williams recorded a double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds as the Tigers won their 13th consecutive game. BCU got off to a strong start behind
Camary Harris, taking a 23-18 lead on a White jumper with 7:17 remaining in the second quarter. Jackson State rallied to take a 35-30 halftime lead and then scored 30 points in the third quarter to pull away. Harris and
Morgan Beacham each scored 14 for B-CU, while
Tania White added 10.
SCOUTING ALCORN
Under the direction of Head Coach Nate Kilbert, Alcorn enters the weekend's games against Florida A&M and Thune-Cookman, respectively, with a 5-11 overall record, and a 1-4 mark in SWAC play. The Braves have lost seven of their last eight games, including a tough 56-55 setback against Prairie View A&M in their last contest. Alcorn is 4-3 at home this season, with wins coming against Arkansas Baptist, New Orleans, Central Arkansas and Tougaloo, respectfully.
- Destiny Brown is one of the top scorers in the SWAC pouring in an average of 12.6 points per game
- Brown also averages 6.7 rebounds per contest for the Braves
- Cayla Obillo runs the point guard position for the Braves and leads the team with 46 assists
- Zy'Nyia White is shooting at a 40 percent clip from three-point range for the Braves
LAST TIME OUT AGAINST THE BRAVES
Morgan Beacham scored 19 as Bethune-Cookman defeated Alcorn State 64-48 in a Southwestern Athletic Conference game. Beacham registered 13 first-quarter points as the Wildcats won their second straight game. BCU led 17-9 after the first quarter and never trailed again. Alcorn closed to 48-44 with 9:05 remaining, but an 8-0 Wildcats run pushed the lead back to 56-44. The Braves scored just four points after that. Taylor williams added 11 points for B-CU, followed by
Tatum Hayes with nine.
Kayla Clark and
Tania White had 13 and 11 rebounds, respectively. Zy'Nyia White led Alcorn State with 14.

After BCU returns from Mississippi, the Wildcats come back to the friendly confines of Richard V. Moore Gymnasium to host the Alabama State Hornets on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 2 p.m. ET.
