Track & Field Begins Indoor Season at BSC Panther Indoor Icebreaker

Birmingham, Ala. - Bethune-Cookman track & field will begin their 2023-23 season at an indoor venue at Birmingham-Southern College. The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. on December 1st.

Garon Jackson begins his first season as BCU's director of track & field. Jackson is a former track athlete and returns to Bethune-Cookman following a successful run as an assistant coach.

Last season, the BCU men finished 4th overall in the SWAC Indoor Championship while the women finished 11th.

In Birmingham, the Wildcats will compete in the shot put, the weight throw, the long jump, the triple jump, and the high jump.

This meet will be the only indoor meet of the season that will take place in 2023.. The Wildcats will next compete on January 13 in Columbia, South Carolina.
