GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Two Wildcats took home first place as the Wildcats turned in a strong performance in their final regular-season indoor meet of 2023 in the Florida University Invitational.
 
Cameron Overton finished first in the men's 200 meter dash with a season-best 22.00 even as all four Wildcats cracked the top ten. Montrael Bennett, Trevor White, and Jonathan Gaines finished in fifth, sixth, and eight respectively
 
Tyler Washington posted a 44-4.75 to win the men's shot put.
 
Elsewhere for the men, Jovan Brooks ran a 49.03 to finish second in the men's 400 meter. Christian Washington ran a 8.39 in the men's 60 meter hurdles, good for third place.
 
For the women, Kaiel Kimble finished 3^rd in the women's 600 meter, finishing in third. In the women's 60 meter hurdles, Delicia Lawrence finished fifth, with a 9.31 finish.

The Wildcats will wrap up indoor season this weekend in Birmingham, Ala. as they face the SWAC Indoor Championships. The event begins Thursday, Feb. 16 and runs through Friday, Feb. 17.
