BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –
Skylar Kew of Bethune-Cookman Women's Golf has been tabbed Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Women's Golfer of the Week for the period of February 14-20, as announced by the conference office Friday evening from its home office in Birmingham, Alabama.
Kew, a freshman from Dundas, Ontario (Canada), has picked up the conference's first women's golf weekly award for the 2023 spring campaign.
The Dundas Valley Secondary School product finished as the top golfer for Bethune-Cookman during the spring season opener at the Lady Bison Bay Point Classic in Panama City, Florida (February 5-7). She finished with scores of 87, 80 and 80 for a 247 (+31) three-day event total. Kew's second and third round 80 was tied for the second-lowest round totals for the Wildcats this season.
