Tennis Suffers Setback to Oakland

Wildcats play first of four consecutive matches at home

Box Score DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Janet Imbo Nloga claimed a set at No. 2 singles for Bethune-Cookman Women's Tennis on Wednesday afternoon, as the Wildcats fell to visiting Oakland 7-0 at Derbyshire Park.
 
Bethune-Cookman (0-6) fielded the doubles team of Diarra Thomas and Janet Imbo Nloga at the No. 1 position, while the duo of Keona Burley and Loncey Elie took part in No. 2 doubles action.
 
At No. 2 singles, Imbo picked up a 6-1 win in the opening set against Oakland's Jillian Milano. Meanwhile, it was Bailey claiming a set in No. 3 singles play for the Wildcats.
 
Oakland (4-1) ended up claiming all five singles points for the 7-0 match victory.
 
Bethune-Cookman next hosts Southern (La.) in a Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) match on Friday, March 3, at 11 a.m.
