TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – No. 21 Florida State gave Bethune-Cookman all it could handle as the Wildcats fell, 10-1, Tuesday night in Tallahassee.
  


The Seminoles opened the night with two in the first frame off a solo homer and RBI double.
 
Florida State tacked on another run in the third on an RBI triple, and four in the fourth on four hits.
 
B-CU threatened in the top of the fourth. Hylan Hall led off with a single before he was caught stealing. Robert Moya doubled to right field and advanced to third on a fly ball, but a groundout ended the Wildcats threat.
 
Two more runs followed in the fifth after a pair of FSU solo shots that made it 9-0.

The Seminoles added one more in the eighth on an RBI single.
 
The Wildcats grabbed one run back in the top of the ninth, as Derek Cintron singled in Manny Souffrain to make it 9-1.
 
Seven Wildcats combined in the pitching effort. Marcos Gamboa took the loss after a two-run first inning. Gerald Bess, Santiago Gomez, Yoansell Diaz, Gabriel Perez, Dale Michaud, and Joan Gonzales chipped in on the mound, striking out a total of 10.



The Wildcats will spend their weekend on the road for the first time this season as they head to Columbia for a date with No. 20 South Carolina. The three game series is set to begin Friday, March 10, at 7 p.m.
