Dan Ryan: Maroon and Gold Game Takes

The revised takes from Saturday's B-CU Spring Game....
1) The final score was 52 to 51 in favor of the offense over the defense. What does that mean? Whatever you want it to...

2) Walter Simmons got the first set of reps, but Dominiq  Ponder looked really good in a two minute drive with a TD to Omari Stewart.

3) Louis Kirchgessner had some nice catches. Dylaan Lee had a 35-yarder.

4) Anthony Frederique kicked two field goals

5) Defensive standouts? Deshaun Davis and Eddie Walls.

6) Driving in on LPGA boulevard and seeing the tailgating in full force did wonders for my soul.

7) Can you have a BCU tailgate without the DJ playing "Got To Be Real" and "Let Me Clear My Throat"?

8) The Omegas didn't cook burgers. Fish was darn good though. Thanks Kelvin Mayner ...

9) The reason why it was so difficult to spot Johnny Vickers on the sidelines was all those recruits who were watching the game. Coaches are definitely putting in the work and getting out the word.

10) Don't want to leave any names out, so let me say what a great joy it was to see everyone out there Saturday, especially after missing two homecomings in a row...
