TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida A&M overcame a three-run Wildcat ninth to avoid the weekend sweep in extra innings, Sunday afternoon in Tallahassee.Â

The Rattlers (23-25, 17-10 SWAC) opened the scoring in the second inning with an RBI triple that scored two to make it 2-0 early.

FAMU took the run back in the bottom of the inning, taking advantage of a B-CU error to maintain their 2-run lead.Â
The Wildcats rallied in the ninth against the Rattler bullpen. They opened the fram with back-to-back singles before a FAMU error allowed

Malik Stephens put the Wildcats in front for the first time in the afternoon with a single ot center that scored
Colton Olasin to make it 4-3.Â
The Rattlers knotted things at 4-4 in the bottom of the ninth on an RBI single. They ended things in the tenth with another RBI single for the 5-4 win.Â
Santiago Gomez made the start for B-CU on the mound. In five innings, he allowed two earned runs on three hits with four walks and a strikeout.
Dale Michaud provided three strong innings in relieve, allowing only a single hit with two strikeouts.Â
Joan Gonzalez was saddled with the loss. In 1.2 innings he allowed two runs on four hits with a walk and two strikeouts.Â

The Wildcats will take a short drive down I4 Tuesday night for their final non-conference contest of the season as they take on UCF, Tuesday, May 16 in Orlando.
