DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Wildcats took both halves of a doubleheader to take the series against Alabama A&M, Saturday at Jackie Robinson Ballpark.

GAME ONE
It was the Bulldogs (12-28, 3-19
SWAC) who struck first in game one. In the top of the second, a leadoff double and groundout advanced a runner to third, who came around to score on an RBI single to make it 1-0.
The Wildcats (24-22, 15-7
SWAC) finally cracked the scoreboard in the bottom of the fifth.
Irvin Escobar led off the inning with a single and advanced to second on a
Colton Olasin hit-by-pitch. The two runners advanced on a groundout and came around to score on an RBI double off the wall from
Brian Perez to take the lead at 2-1.
Perez came around to score two batters later on a
Hylan Hall single to left.
The Bulldogs cut the deficit to one in the top of the eighth with a solo homer over the wall in left field.
The Wildcats loaded the bases with one away in the eighth.
Jeremy Garcia drove in a pair with an RBI single into left that made it 5-2. A pair of wild pitches allowed Olasin to score to make it 6-2.
Daniel Gaviria made the start in his second complete-game effort of the season. In nine innings, he allowed two earned runs in seven hits with a walk and five strikeouts. He improves his record to 4-3 on the season.
GAME 2
Alabama A&M scored first in game two, taking advantage of a Wildcat misplay in the outfield for the first run of the ballgame.
The Wildcats matched in the bottom of the first as Stephens came around to score on a Bulldog error.
Colton Olasin broke the tie an inning later with a monstrous solo shot over the batting cages in left to make it 2-1.
B-CU plated two more in the second on a Moya RBI double and RBI single from
Jorge Braceras.
An RBI single pulled the Bulldogs within two runs in the fifth, but Braceras took that run right back with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the inning.
AAMU sent another solo shot out into left field to make it 5-3 in the sixth.
The Wildcats stranded the bases loaded in the eighth.
AAMU threatened in the ninth, with back-to-back two out walks and an RBI single that made it 5-4, but a strikeout ended things
Santiago Gomez made the start and earned the win. In seven innings, he allowed two earned runs on four hits with a walk and nine strikeouts.
Joan Gonzalez earned the save, his sixth of the season. In two innings, he allowed one run on one hit with three strikeouts.
- Moya extended his on-base streak to 28 games.
The Wildcats will look for the sweep Sunday at 1 p.m.
