Sophomore Jalayah Shaw and freshman Zahara El-Zein made the trip for B-CU. Shaw played a tough singles match with Jessica Hess of Southern, ultimately dropping the game 7-5, 6-2.

El-Zein, playing in her second collegiate event in Maroon and Gold, dropped a 7-5, 6-1 decision to Andrea P. Blanca of Prairie View A&M.

Stetson entered play this fall off a historic season in DeLand in which they claimed their second ASUN Championship in three years, eventually falling to #14 Florida in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

This weekend marks the second event the Hatters have hosted this fall. In the first Stetson Fall Invitational, the Hatters picked up two wins in doubles play, while capturing three victories in singles against Kennesaw State, Tennessee - Chattanooga, and Louisiana Lafayette.

In their most recent event, the Hatters recorded four singles wins over two days at ITA Southeast Regionals on the campus of Georgia Tech in Atlanta.
