Birmingham, Ala. - Bethune-Cookman track & field completed their first indoor meet of the season as eleven Wildcat participants finished in the top ten of their respective events.

Head coach Garon Jackson was happy with the team's overall performance.
 

"This means the staff did a great job in bringing athletes in and also developing the athletes that we had last year, guys like Jordan Riche in the weight throw, Shanard in the 60m/ 200m,  Freshman's like Xavier Bogan in the Long/Triple Jumps and Victor Kibet stepped and led there event areas. Big things are expected from these guys. The women's team was lead by Alyssa Williams in the 400m, Valencia Butler in the Mile, Zion Harvey in the jumps and Kasi Ugeh in the throws. These women will be the backbone of the program and as they go so do we as a team.", says Jackson.

MEN TOP TEN FINSHERS
Junior Victor Kibet set a B-CU program record in the 3000m with a 8:35.19 time.

Freshman Xavier Bogan had the highest finish in the men's long jump with 7.11m. Bogan also finished third in the men's triple jump with a 14.7m. 

Junior Sha'Nard Walker finished first with a 21.44 time in the 200m.

Junior Jordan Riche finished sixth in the men's weight throw with 18.50m.

Freshman Marcus Delcy finished seventh in the 800m with a 1:57.54 time.

Junior Sytrevion Dyer finished eighth in the men's long jump with 6.78m.

Junior Elijah Kellum finished tenth in the men's triple jump with 13.98m.

Junior Da'Quon King finished tenth in the 400m with a time of 49.60.


WOMEN TOP TEN FINISHERS
Senior Alyssa Williams finished fourth in the 400m with a 57.77 time.

Senior Lauren Johnson picked up sixth in the women's triple jump with 11.65m.

Valencia Butler finished ninth in the mile with a 5:36.61 time.
