BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Bethune-Cookman track & field student-athlete Kimani Richards  has been named Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Field Athlete of the Week for the period of February 8-14, announced Wednesday afternoon by the league office in Birmingham, Alabama.
 
Richards, a graduate student from Fort Lauderdale, enjoyed an excellent weekend on the track at the Florida Collegiate Invitational. His best finish of the weekend came in the high jump, where he posted a third-place finish with a 1.95m.

Elsewhere, he also finished sixth in the 60m hurdles, running an 8.54. He also posted a seventh-place finish in the long jump with a 6.47.
