Wildcats Prepare for Gamecock Opener
Columbia, S.C. - Bethune-Cookman Track & Field will head to Columbia, South Carolina Saturday at the Carolina Indoor Track & Field Complex in Columbia, South Carolina. The event will begin at 9:00 a.m. on December 11th.

Last year at the Gamecock Opener,, Ja'Quon and Da'Quon King set a program record for the Wildcats in the men's 600m.

MEET INFORMATION HEADER

Completed prior to the 2019 indoor season, Carolina Indoor Track & Field Complex features a banked six-lane 200m Mondo track, a separate throws area, two pole vault areas, two jumps runways, and two high jump areas along with an eight-lane 60m straight track on the infield.

In Columbia, the Wildcats will compete in the high jump, pole vault, long jump, shot put, weight throw, pole vault and triple jump.

The teams competing this week are: Benedict College, Bethune-Cookman, Charleston Southern, The Citadel, Claflin University, Coppin State, Miami (Fla.), North Carolina A&T, North Carolina Wesleyan, South Carolina State, South Carolina, UNC Asheville, Winston-Salem State.


Notes & Stats In-Story Header

Head Coach Garon Jackson will look to continue his success following an impressive finish at the Birmingham Invite. The Wildcats picked up eleven top ten finishers at the event.

Last season, the BCU men finished 4th overall in the SWAC Indoor Championship while the women finished 11th.
