BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Following his record-breaking performance in Gainesville,
Andrew Kiplagat has been named SWAC Co-Track Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon from their headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama.
This is Kiplagat's second weekly award this season and the Wildcats' sixth as a team.
Andrew Kiplagat continues to set the bar high as he set another program record this weekend. The new time to beat is 14:24.25 in the 5K. Earlier in January, he was named SWAC Track-Athlete of the Week after setting yet another program record and securing 1st place in the 3000m.
Bethune-Cookman returns to competition Friday back in Gainesville for the Visit Tallahassee Indoor Invitational.
