LORMAN, Miss. - Domination from start to finish saw Bethune-Cookman Volleyball win its fourth straight game with a sweep of Alcorn State, Sunday afternoon in Lorman, Mississippi.
Bethune-Cookman hit .333 as a team in a first set win, but the Braves kept close. Neither team led by more than four, with Alcorn State leading as late as 21-19, but a pair of
Kaleigh Williams service aces highlighted a six-point run that finished things off in a 25-21 win.
After falling behind 7-3 in set two, seven straight for B-CU off the serve of
Nola Hemphill made it 11-7 before the Braves tied things again at 11-11. Some poor hitting by the Braves allowed the Wildcats to stay in front for the remainder of the set on the way to another 25-21 score.
The Cats put the final touches on the win with a 25-11 third-set win, holding the Braves to a -0.071 hitting percentage in the final frame. The Cats raced in front, 8-1, and never relinquished.

- The Cats hit .284 for the match as a team.
- Amya Jennings continued her strong stretch, hitting .500 with a team-high 13 kills along with nine digs.
- Tiyanna Preston added 10 kills with three block assists.
- Melissa Gonzalez led the team with 15 assists.
- Sthefany Carvalho collected 13 digs with nine assists.
The Wildcatsreturn home to host Texas Southern and Prairie View A&M beginning with the program's annual Pink Game on Friday, October 17 at 6 p.m.
