BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Bethune-Cookman senior
Katie Robinson has been named Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Women's Golfer of the Week for the period of March 19-24, announced Wednesday afternoon by the league office from its headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama.
Most recently, Robinson, a senior from American Canyon, California, finished tied for 25th at the inaugural Hammock Beach Invitational hosted by Purdue Fort Wayne at Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Palm Beach, Florida. The reigning SWAC Individual Champion fired an opening round 4-over 76 in the opening round of the Hammock Beach Invitational, leading all B-CU scorers on the day. It was her fourth round of 76 or lower across the 2024-25 campaign.
For Robinson, this is her first SWAC Golfer of the Week award for 2024-25, and her first since March 12, 2024.
Currently, Robinson leads the Cats with an 80.39 average, using a +9 relative to par score as well.
Bethune-Cookman will enjoy two weeks off before next participating in the Ironwood Invitational in Greenville, North Carolina. The event is set for March 31 and April 1.
