List Time Out Header

Last weekend, the Cats completed the second out of state contest for the outdoor season in Orangeburg, S.C. at the Sharonda Coleman-Singleton Classic. Strong performances showed with twelve top three finishes and three first place finishes, respectively.

Riana Wilford earned first in the pole vault with a mark of 3.30m and Mychaela Parker finished first in the shot put with a mark of 12.01m. The first-place finishes represent the women's first top placements of the season and reflect personal best performances.

Ja'Quon King secured a first place finish in the 400m with a time of 48.11. He's had multiple first place finishes this season in both the 4x100 and 4x400 at the Embry-Riddle Running Elements Classic a few weeks ago.

MEET INFORMATION HEADER

The UCF Soccer and Track Complex serves as home for the Knights' men's and women's soccer and women's track and field programs. The location, originally built in 1991, was re-opened in May 2011 following the construction of a grandstand seating facility on the west side.

Surrounding one of the top pitches in all of college soccer is an eight-lane, 400-meter track featuring a Martin Surface that was refurbished in the summer of 2004. In 2008, an expanded throwing area for the hammer, discus and shotput was also added to the complex. Both, long jump and triple jump pits, were rebuilt ahead of the 2008 season.

The meet will begin with field events on Friday at 11 a.m. starting with the women's/men's hammer throw, javelin, long jump, pole vault and shot put. Running events will begin at 5:30 p.m. starting with the women's 400m hurdles, men's 400m hurdles, men's/women's 200m, 1500m, and 3000m.

Saturday will also begin in the field. Beginning at 10:00 a.m. is the men's 110m hurdles, 4x100 relay's, men's/women's 800m, 100m, 100m hurdles, and 100m hurdle finals. The day will end around 4:40 p.m. with the men's/women's 4x400m relays.
