BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – For the first time in his B-CU Track & Field career,
Andrew Kiplagat was named SWAC Track-Athlete of the week, it was announced by the league office Wednesday from its headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama.
The SWAC's individual cross country champion picked up right where he left off from the cross country season with a program record first-place finish in the 3000m on a time of 8:18.68, Saturday at the South Carolina Indoor Track & Field Complex. It was his first track event as a Wildcat
Kiplagat was named SWAC cross country runner of the week four times in the fall.
The Wildcats return to the track this Friday, January 16 for the Jimmy Carnes Invitational in Gainesville.
