BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Bethune-Cookman track & field swept the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Weekly Awards, as all four honors were claimed by Wildcats following a strong weekend of competition in Gainesville.
Sha'Nard Walker was named SWAC Male Track Athlete of the Week,
Jordan Riche earned SWAC Male Field Athlete of the Week,
Amani Jones collected SWAC Female Track Athlete of the Week, and
Kasie Ugeh was selected as SWAC Female Field Athlete of the Week.
Sha'Nard Walker topped the leaderboard with a first-place time of 33.45 in the 300m at the Alachua County Sports and Event Center Invitational, besting his previous winning time from earlier this season.
Jordan Riche finished as the runner-up in the weight throw with a 16.47m.
Kasie Ugeh finished second in the weight throw with a 12.71m
Amani Jones grabbed a top-five finish on the track with and 25.00 in the 200m.
The Wildcats are set to return to action February 9th back in Gainesville for the Celebration Pointe Classic.
