DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - After two weather-related cancellations to begin the spring season, the Wildcats are finally set to return to game action as they take on the Stetson Hatters. The opening match will take begin Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Ambasasador E. William Crotty Tennis Complex in Daytona Beach.
Bethune-Cookman welcomes three players back from the 2024-25 season in which the Wildcats finished 2-15 overall with wins over Mississippi Valley State and Edward Waters.Â
Jalayah Shaw returns for her junior season, while
Rosalida Asumwa and
Zahara El-Zein return as sophomores.
Joining them is three freshman
Madison Molock out of Ocala,
Taylor O'Neal from Indianapolis, and
Maria Romero Vargas from Cundinamarca, Columbia. Each competed for the Wildcats in the fall.

Stetson Women's Tennis enters the spring coming off an 18-5 season that ended in another ASUN title, their second in a row and third in four seasons.
The Hatters have gotten off to a 1-2 start thus far this season, losing to Rollins College and Troy and picking up their first victory at Georgia Southern on Jan. 30.
