BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Michael Carter has been named SWAC Field Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Thursday afternoon from their headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama.

Michael Carter was the top finisher in the field for B-CU, taking fourth place in the long jump with a 7.46m jump at last weekend's UCF Black & Gold Challenge in Orlando. 

It marks the first weekly honor of the outdoor season for B-CU. 

Bethune-Cookman returns to competition Friday at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational hosted by Miami in Coral Gables.
