BIRMINGHAM, Ala - For the first time this season, a Wildcat is SWAC Player of the Week as
Rosalida Asumwa takes conference honors, it was announced Wednesday from the conference office in Birmingham, Alabama.
Rosalida Asumwa defeated her opponent in two sets (6-1, 6-1) and also won in doubles with her partner,
Maria Romero Vargas (6-2) as the Cats defeated Edward Waters for their first win of the spring season.
It marks the first weekly honor of the seaon for the Cats, and the first in the career of Asumwa.
B-CU returns to the court on Friday, March 6 as they take on Alcorn State in the first SWAC pod of the season.
