BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — For the second straight week, sophomore Michael Carter has been named SWAC Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced Thursday afternoon from its headquarters in Birmingham.

The honor is the Wildcats second weekly award of the outdoor season.

At the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational in Miami, Carter picked up where he left off the previous week with a third-place finish in the long jump at 7.63m, ranking him among the Wildcats' top finishers for the weekend.

B-CU track & field returns to Daytona Beach this weekend for the Embry Riddle Classic, as competition has already commenced and will continue through Saturday.
