DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman Women's Tennis Head Coach Chris Wollett announced the signing of Marissa Alexander, who will join the Wildcats for the 2026-27 season after competing on the junior tennis circuit in the Washington, D.C., area.

Alexander attended both Dwight Global and Stone Ridge High School of the Sacred Heart during her high school career. A native of Washington, D.C., she has competed in numerous USTA junior events and will bring valuable tournament experience to the Maroon and Gold. She plans to major in Business Administration at Bethune-Cookman.

"We're very excited to add Marissa to the team," said Wollett. "Her energy has been evident in our conversations and I'm really looking forward to watching that transition on to the tennis court."

Alexander has balanced her athletic pursuits with a strong commitment to academics throughout her high school career, making her an ideal fit for Bethune-Cookman's mission of excellence both on and off the court.

"Off the court, Marissa has proven herself in the classroom," added Wollett. "I feel her strong academics will be a tremendous asset to the Wildcat Tennis Program."

Alexander is the latest addition to the Wildcats' 2026-27 signing class as Bethune-Cookman continues to build its roster for the upcoming campaign.
