DAYTONA BEACH, Fla - Alaya Rhodes of B-CU Volleyball and Myron Shafer III of B-CU Football have been named Wildcats of the Week for the week of September 14-20. 2026.

Alaya Rhodes continued a strong start to the season in a pair of games at South Carolina State. She combined for 20 kills and 21 digs, posting a double-double in each game. She also added four blocks, two assists, and two services aces. 

Daytona Beach native Myron Shafer was everywhere defensively for the Wildcats in a blowout homecoming win Saturday. He grabbed his second interception in the last two games, added five total tackles, and collected half a sack and 1.5 tackles for loss.

Each week, the Bethune-Cookman Office of Athletic Communications recognizes one male and one female student-athlete through the Wildcats of the Week award.

This award recognizes student-athletes who have excelled in competition, in the classroom, and in the community over the past week, exemplifying the Championship Culture of Wildcat Athletics.
