LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Bethune-Cookman's six-game road trip California starts with a Sunday meeting with Utah at the Mayfair Classic in Long Beach. First pitch is 4:30 p.m. EST.

THE TRIP: The Wildcats (3-15) have two games in the Mayfair Classic, meeting Charleston Southern on Monday. Doubleheaders against Loyola Maramount on Tuesday and UC-Riverside on Wednesday make up the rest of the trip.

Ten of the Wildcats' 13-player roster hails from California. This is B-CU's second trip west in the past three years.

B-CU UPDATE:  The Wildcats (3-15) have lost their last three, including a doubleheader sweep by Providence where they gave up 28 runs. Michelle Banuelos-Smith leads B-CU with a .362 average and has gone yard in the past two games. Leadoff hitter Calesha Shelley has a .311 average while Simone Ceasar is hitting .309. Aurelia Gamch is on a five-game hitting streak.

ABOUT UTAH: In their second season of Pac 12 play, The Utes (11-6-1) extended their unbeaten streak to ten games Saturday with victories over Idaho State and Cal State-Fullerton. Kelsi Hoopiiaina is hitting .418 with four homers and 17 RBI while Mariah Ramirez sports a .381 average. Naomi Amu heads the pitching staff with a 6-2 record and a 2.36 ERA.
