Spring Practice: Wildcats Wrap Up First Week

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman concluded the first week of Spring football practice early Saturday morning with a two-hour session on the campus practice field.

The key stat from the first week?

“We came out of it with no injuries, that's a plus,” said B-CU Head Coach Brian Jenkins, who switched from coaching mode to serving mode at the team's barbecue lunch afterwards. We went hard with detail, energy and effort. That's what we're asking them to do.”

Week two's focus will be the same as the first.

“We'll make sure we have the fundamentals and basic downs so we can operate at a high level,” Jenkins said.

The next scheduled practice is Monday afternoon leading up to the spring game on Saturday, April 20 at a site to be announced.
