The Bethune-Cookman bowling team finished the Mid-Winter Classic with a 12th place finish on Sunday afternoon inside Jonesboro Bowling Center.
Bethune-Cookman opened the day with an exciting victory in seven games over Tulane. B-CU opened the match with back-to-back game wins on the strength of 164-149 and 257-176, respectively. The Green Wave came back to take the next two games, and the fifth game went to a tie.
The Cats claimed the seventh game, 207-161, advancing in the winners bracket.
B-CU fell by a count of 1-4, with the fifth game being stalemate at 177.
The Wildcats fell 4-2 to Elmhurst in their final game of the day, giving them a 12th place finish overall.
Arkansas State finished as the tournament champion, followed by Sam Houston State and Nebraska as the top three teams.
The Cats get back to action again next weekend at the Kutztown Invitational in Reading, Pa.
