DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Quentin Brewer (Men's Basketball) and Kayla Crawford (Women's Basketball) helped the Wildcats basketball teams sweep this week's Homewood Suites Student-Athletes of the Week awards, as both picked up their first weekly accolades of the 2014-15 athletic term.
Quentin Brewer posted his second double-double of the 2014-15 season with a career-high 16 points and 10 rebounds in Sunday's 75-67 loss at UCF. The junior from Tampa has led the Wildcats in rebounds in six of the seven games this season, and he has scored in double figures in four of the last five contests overall.
Kayla Crawford is not only earning Homewood Suites weekly accolades, but she was also named as this week's Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Crawford, a 6-0, senior guard from Miami, notched a career-high 17 points, 15 rebounds, and four steals to help lead the Lady Wildcats to their first win of the season over Lynn College. She shot 5-for-9 from the field and 7-for-9 from the free-throw line.
