DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. - Nola Hemphill of B-CU Volleyball and
Cam'Ron Ransom of B-CU Football have been named Wildcats of the Week for the week of September 8-14, 2025.
Nola Hemphill, sophomore setter out of Atlanta, was a steady presence for Bethune-Cookman at the 2025 Bash at the Beach at Moore Gymnasium. In games against South Carolina State, Charleston Southern, and Jacksonville, Hemphill collected a team-high 65 assists along with 33 digs as the Cats swept the Bulldogs and took the Buccaneers to five sets before dropping the third game of the weekend.
Cam Ransom headed up the best offensive performance of the season for the Wildcats. He excelled on both sides of the ball, completing 20 of 30 passes for 302 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for 89 yards on 11 carries with two rushing scores. He played a part in all six B-CU touchdowns en route to a 41-point scoring performance against 2024 MEAC champion South Carolina State.
Each week, The Bethune-Cookman Office of Athletic Communications recognizes one male and one female student-athlete through the Wildcats of the Week award.
This award recognizes student-athletes who have excelled in competition, in the classroom, and in the community over the past week, exemplifying the Championship Culture of Wildcat Athletics.
