Jacksonville, Fla. – Junior Deja Davis topped Bethune-Cookman University in the University of North Florida Invitational in Jacksonville,Fla., the Wildcats' season-opening cross country meet on Saturday.
 
Davis, a native of Des Moines,Iowa , finished the race in 10:45 to place 9th.
 
Daniel Kiptoo and Xavier Walton topped off the men with 11-12 finishes in the race clocking times of 16:26 and 16:27.
 
BCU's other competitors were Jonathan Moore (16:40, 15th), Nyajock Pan (11:09, 19th), 
 
BCU returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Embry-Riddle Spikes Classic in Daytona Beach, Fla.
