DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman basketball is back on campus this weekend when the Wildcats host Maryland Eastern Shore Saturday at 4 p.m. in refurbished Moore Gymnasium.
The venerable facility suffered floor damage during Hurricane Matthew, sending the Wildcats (4-14 overall, 1-4 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) to the Ocean Center, Flagler College, Daytona State College and Embry-Riddle for "home" contests. B-CU was 3-3 in those games.
After this game, the Wildcats are back on the road next Saturday at Norfolk State.
THE LATEST: The Wildcats snapped a seven-game losing streak and posted their first road victory of the year in 11 tries (12 including a neutral site) with Monday's 82-76 victory at Florida A&M. B-CU shot season-bests of 48 percent from the field and 84 percent from the line and got 29 points from
Brandon Tabb and 21 from
Quinton Forrest in the win. Maryland-Eastern Shore (4-14, 1-2) has dropped league losses to North Carolina Central and Howard in its last two outings.
IF THE MEAC WERE TODAY: B-CU is currently 11
th among the 12 teams that will play in the MEAC tournament this March in Norfolk. They would play either Delaware State or Norfolk State in the opening round. The Wildcats are currently 3.5 games behind North Carolina Central and Hampton (both 3-1) for a first-round bye.

Brandon Tabb leads the MEAC in scoring with an average of 19.8 ppg, ahead of Morgan State's Phillip Carr at 19.2. He also is sixth in the nation in three-pointers per game (3.78).
