THE STARTING FIVE
1 Bethune-Cookman leads the MEAC in total rebounds (43.83), blocks (39), field-goal % defense (40.3), and three-point field-goal % defense (28.2). Amongst the NCAA, it is 10th in boards, 15th in blocks, 33rd in three-point field-goal % defense, and 86th in field-goal % defense

2 The Wildcats have totaled over 20 assists in back-toback games. BCU assisted on 22 of 31 made field goals vs. Grambling State (70%), and 25 of 37 made field goals vs. Florida College (68%)

3 BCU has cashed in the three-ball in as many games, making double-digit threes at Georgia Tech (12-28), vs. Grambling State (12-26) and vs. Florida College (10-37). The Wildcats are shooting 35.8% from downtown, good for third in the MEAC

4 The last time these private institutions met inside Swisher Gym, BCU nearly erased a 66-47 second half deficit and fell by four, 74-70. The furious rally was fueled by Jordan Potts netting 26 second-half points after foul trouble held him scoreless in the first half. The last meeting between the 'Cats and the Owls was on Nov. 24, 1999

5 Should Thursday's starting five be the lineup of Malik Maitland, Isaiah Bailey, Brandon Tabb, Soufiyane Diakite, and Shawntrez Davis, it would mark the fifth-consecutive game that lineup has seen opening tip. BCU is 2-2 and is outscoring its opponents by an average of 80.5 to 75 with that starting combination

PREVIOUSLY
Brandon Tabb scored 19 points as Bethune-Cookman downed Florida College 95-67 Saturday for its second straight win. Shawntrez Davis double-doubled with 16 points and 11 rebounds, Soufiyane Diakitescored 15,  David Francis 11 and Isaiah Bailey 10 as the Wildcats (3-3) led from start to finish.

SHAWNTREZ'S SEQUEL
Bethune-Cookman University junior forward Shawntrez Davis has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic conference's Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday afternoon. It is the second consecutive honor for Davis in as many weeks. The 6-9 forward out of Atlanta led the MEAC with averages of 3.5 blocks and 10 rebounds in two games as Bethune-Cookman finished 2-0 for the week. In the home win over Grambling State, Davis blocked four shots and grabbed nine rebounds while blocking three shots and pulling down 11 rebounds versus Florida College.  The transfer from South Plans College (Texas) leads the MEAC and sits eighth nationally in double-doubles for the season (four), and averaged 13.5 points during the two-game span.

DAVIS THE WALKING DOUBLE-DOUBLE

Davis averaged a double-double last week with 13.5 points and 10 rebounds. His four on the season currently ranks amongst eighth in the nation and paces the MEAC

NOVEMBER TO REMEMBER
