LANDOVER, Md. – Bethune-Cookman Track & Field took on day two the 2017 edition of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships.
The Florida A&M women remained in front of the pack while Norfolk State holds a slim lead in the men's point totals entering the finals of the 2017 MEAC Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex.
As for the Wildcats, the BCU men sit fifth with 23 points, while the women are sixth with 23 points as well.
In the heptathlon
Tyson Wright placed fifth in the 60 meter hurdle with a time of 8.78. Wright also received third place int he 1000m run this afternoon.
Dominic Harper placed second in the pole vault of the heptathlon with a measure of 3.95m.
Princy Dorsainvil placed fourth in the event (3.75m).
In the Pentathlon
Bria McAllister placed secong in the high jump (1.59m). McAllister also placed third in the 800m run with a time of 2:34.56.
Quamecha Morrison took home the gold in the Women's high jump. The sophomore had a measure of 1.84m.

Jonathan Moore won the 800 meter run for the men's side earning ten points for them in a time of 1:51.5. Freshman Kelton WIlliams won the bronze in the men's high jump with a measure of 2.03m.
The afternoon session of the 2017 MEAC Track & Field Championships will be streamed lived on ESPN3 and
MEACSPORTS.com at 1 p.m. on Saturday. The championship will also be available on television in 15 states on COX Television's YURVIEW network.
