DURHAM, N.C. – Bethune-Cookman salvaged a split of its Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference doubleheader at North Carolina Central Saturday, taking the nightcap 6-0 after dropping the opener 10-2.
The Wildcats (23-19 overall, 10-7 MEAC) and Eagles (17-24,8-9) conclude their three-game series Sunday.

GAME 2
Kyle Corbin and
Chase DeBonis each drove in two runs, while
Tyler Norris and
TJ Densmore each got out of a bases-loaded jam in their combined four-hit shutout.
Norris, who scattered three hits and struck out five, came out of the fourth undamaged after the Eagles left the bases full, but the Eagles threatened again in the sixth. Densmore came in and got the final two outs of the inning  to preserve the Wildcats' clean slate.
Debonis' two-run single and
Danny Rodriguez' RBI doubled helped the Wildcats extend their 1-0 lead in the sixth. Corbin's two-out homer to right in the seventh made it 6-0.
Cole Parks doubled home
Nate Sterijevski in the second to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead.
Norris improved to 5-0 while Densmore earned his second save.
GAME 1
Bethune-Cookman managed to tie it in the top of the eighth, but the Eagles answered  with an eight run outburst highlighted by Tony Mejias' leadoff homer, Jake Raby's bases-loaded double and a two-run Andrew Valichka single.
The Wildcats made it a 2-1 game in the fourth when
Nate Sterijevski singled home Rodriguez and tied it when
Jameel Edney tripled and scored on pinch hitter
Michael Deeb's single in the eighth.
Edney, Rodriguez, and Sterijevski each two hits for the Wildcats.
Anthony Maldonado (5-3) took the loss.Â
