DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman Tennis Coach Val Villucci has announced the 2019 Wildcat Men's and Women's Tennis schedules.

The Wildcat women open their schedule on Tuesday, January 22 at nearby Embry-Riddle followed by the men two days later. Home openers at City Island Tennis Center, both against Stetson, are slated for January 27 for the men and February 1 for the women.

Villucci is hoping that momentum from a successful Fall season carries over to the spring. The men won the team title at the HBCU National Championships in September while newcomer Michelle Ncube showed promise with a flight championship at the HBCU National Championships and a strong showing at the Bedford Cup.

"We can make a run to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference championships if we stay healthy and focused," Villucci said. "We're very eager to begin the season."

Each team will have two appearances at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, including an April 4 meeting with archrival Florida A&M as part of USTA's College Game Day promotion.

The MEAC tournament will be held April 24-27 in Norfolk, Va.
