Ryan Ridder announced today [October 15, 2019] that
Isaiah Bailey has been granted an extra year of eligibility and will return to the court for the 2019-20 season.
Bailey appeared in just three games last season in what was supposed to be his senior year before suffering a season-ending injury.
"We are very excited that Isaiah has been granted an additional year of eligibility," Ridder said. "He has worked extremely hard to get healthy and prepare for a great senior year. He is an integral part of our team not only because of his abilities on the floor but also because of his leadership capabilities."
The 6-6 forward from Compton, Calif. was named a Third Team All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference performer in 2017-18 after averaging 16.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.8 assists. He posted BCU's first-ever triple-double against D1 competition when he registered 19 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists vs. Savannah State on February 24, 2018. He scored double figures in 28 of his 31 appearances.
The Wildcats open their 2019-20 campaign on Wednesday, November 6 at home against Johnson University.
