ORLANDO, Fla. – Day One of the 2020 Wildcat Classic is complete with Sacred Heart leading the 11-team field.
Sacred Heart amassed a five-game pin fall of 4,792 (191.7 average) in Baker format play to take the lead over Tulane (4,626,185.0) and defending national champion Stephen F. Austin (4,616, 184.6). Sacred Heart also went 4-0 in head-to-head competition.
Host Bethune-Cookman is in 11th place with a pin fall of 3,379. The Lady Wildcats went 0-5 in head-to-head matchups, falling 811-622 to Daemen College, 860-541 to Maryville, 939-843 to UAB, 828-641 to St. Francis-Brooklyn and 913-742 to Medaille College.
"There's a lot of tough teams we haven't seen this year," said BCU Head Coach

Saturday sees the field competing in traditional play, with the combined pin falls of Friday and Saturday determining seeds for Sunday's bracket play.
