BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Bethune-Cookman's Guy Bond finished 33rd in the high jump at the NCAA East Preliminary at Indiana University.

The freshman from Kissimmee, Fla. cleared 2.00 meters on his first try, but failed on all three attempts at 2.05 meters.

Bond needed a top 12 finish to advance to the National meet June 8-11 in Eugene, Ore.

Bond finished in second at the Southwestern Athletic Conference championships earlier this month.

His conference leap of 2.10 meters is also the third best in the history of the Wildcat track program.
