FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Wildcats will take on the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastedons on their second game of a five-game road trip. The game begins at 7:00 p.m. as B-CU will look to get off to a strong start despite week away from action.

Bethune-Cookman defeated the South Carolina State Bulldogs by a score of 80-71. It was their first road win of the season.
B-CU (5-4) got off to a quick start as they began the first half with a 9-2 scoring run. Senior forwardÂ
Derrick Carter-Hollinger Jr. contributed five early points, including a three-pointer, while the Wildcats forced three turnovers during that span.
South Carolina State (2-8) was able to quickly recover and successfully tie the game at 15 following a made free-throw from James Morrow. The Bulldogs then took a 4-point lead with 10:21 left in the half.

Dhashon Dyson. B-CU would not relinquish the lead as they would go on a 22-11 run to end the period.
The WIldcats kept up the intensity in the second half as they maintained their lead throughout the remainder of the contest. B-CU went up by 20 points with 7:21 left after a jumper by John Henderson Jr. which was their largest lead of the game.Â
Elijah Hulsewe would increase the lead back to 20 with 5:04 left in the game.Â
Purdue Fort Wayne is currently 10-1 which is their best start to a season since the 1989-90 season.Their are in the midst of a five game winning streak and are undefeated (5-0) at home.Â
The Mastedons have received strong scoring contributions from multiple players so far this year. In their previous game against Southeast Missouri State, the Purdue Fort Wayne saw all five of their starters score in double figures. They are currently led in scoring by junior guard Rasheed Bello, who is averaging 15.3 points on 44/31% shooting splits. Graduate Anthony Roberts and Sophomore Jalen Jackson are both averaging around 14 points, while redshirt senior Quinton Morton-Robertson is averaging 12.7.
Purdue Fort Wayne's leading rebounder is sophomore Eric Mulder with 6.5 per contest. As a team, the Mastedons have a negative rebound margin despite only one loss.
Offensively, the Mastedons have shot 50% from the field this season, while holding opponents to just 43% shooting. They only turn the ball over 9.7 times per game which is good for 23rd nationwide. On the other side, the Mastedons' opponents are turning the ball over 18 times per game.as they are 14th in the nation in steals.
Bethune-Cookman has never faced Purdue Fort Wayne in men's basketball. This will mark the first time in the history of these two progamrs.
