BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Bethune-Cookman Men are in fourth place and the Women seventh after the first day of the Southwestern Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships at Birmingham CrossPlex.
The Wildcat men have 11 points after two scored events. Jackson State leads with 20. The Wildcat women have five points, with Prairie View A&M leading with 36 points.
Emmanuel Corral finished fourth in the men's 3000 meter with a time of 8:38.91 while the men's distance medley team was third in 10:17.09.
The women's distance medley team was fifth (13:05.23) while
Jourdon Cooper finished eighth in the pentathlon with 2,678 points.
Action resumes Friday morning.
