DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman Track & Field continues outdoor season this weekend as they stay local for the Embry-Riddle Spikes Classic, Thursday-Saturday, March 30 – April 1, in Daytona Beach.
 
Last Time Out
Guy Bond won two events to highlight Bethune-Cookman University performances at the Knights Invite last weekend.
Bond won the high jump with a leap of 6'8 ¾ inches and posted a 23'5 ¼ to win the long jump.
The men's 4X100 relay team of Shanard Walker, 
Nathan Metelus, 
Tavis Wilson and Jermain Dyges won with a time of 40.16 seconds.
Taisha Benjamin finished second in the 3000 Steeplechase with a 12:30.59, but that time was good enough to be the fastest in the Southwestern Athletic Conference this season. 
Michael Hopkins also posted a SWAC best with a pole vault of 15' 1/4 ".
 
Spectator Information
 
Friday's slate is set to begin at 9:30 a.m. with multi events, followed by field events beginning at 3 p.m. and running events beginning at 3:30 p.m. Saturday's schedule begins with field events at 9 a.m.
 
Spectators can attend the event at the ERAU Track & Field Complex.
