PRAIRIE VIEW, Tex. –  The Wildcats are set for their second-ever trip the SWAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships May 4-6 in Prairie View, Tex. 

This year's event is being hosted on the campus of Prairie View A&M. Live results will be available throughout the event, with the final day set to be streamed on Saturday, May 6 beginning at 6 p.m. EST.

The championships are set to begin at 9:30 on Thursday with multis, followed by field events beginning at 10 a.m. and running events beginning at 7 p.m.

Last Time Out

Emmanuel Corral set a new program record as the Wildcats wrapped up the 2023 Outdoor Regular Season at the UNF East Coast Relays, last weekend in Jacksonville.

Corral's  9:19.94 in the 3000 meter steeplechase broke the previous school record of 9:24.44 set by Carlin Berryhill last season. Corral broke his previous personal best of 9:35.03 set earlier this season.

Elsewhere for B-CU, Guy Bond finished sixth in the men's high jump with a 6' 9.5." Michael Hopkins earned an eighth place finish with a 15' 7" in the pole vault.
