DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – It was announced Thursday, June 15, that Bethune-Cookman will host the 2023 Reggie Theus Team Camp for basketball, taking place Friday, June 16, at Moore Gymnasium on the B-CU campus. The camp will run through Saturday, June 17, with games also taking place at the Scarlett Golden Center located less than a mile from the B-CU campus.
 
In addition to the Reggie Theus Team Camp, Bethune-Cookman will serve as one of a select few colleges/universities selected to partner with Gatorade, as the hydration giant founded in the state of Florida will help fuel all Wildcats Athletics' needs through the summer for participating teams.
 
Theus, set to begin his third year at the helm of B-CU Athletics and the Men's Basketball program, welcomes participating camp teams from Blanche Ely, Jordan Christian Prep, Auburndale, Spruce Creek, Lake Nona, Martin County, DME Prep, Lake Region, Legacy Charter, DeLand and Orange City.
 
The mission of the Gatorade Summer Sports Camp Program is to provide the Wildcats camp student-athletes with the performance nutrition they need when they need it. Gatorade's top priority is to help keep athletes safe in their journey to improve their game by educating them on the importance of sports nutrition. It is essential that athletes understand the role that hydration has in their quest to become their best.
 
Products offered from Gatorade to the Wildcats and the Reggie Theus Team Camp include flavor sticks, a 10-gallon cooler, cups and several packages of thirst quencher.
