DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Another weekend of SWAC basketball sees Prairie View A&M and defending SWAC champions, Texas Southern, travel to Daytona Beach.
The Panthers will open the weekend with a 4 p.m. contest on Saturday, February 10, followed by the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 12.
On Saturday, Bethune-Cookman will host "Play4Kay" night a women's basketball initiative to raise awareness and funds for women's cancer research on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.

Neither team led by more than three in a first half that saw Bethune-Cookman (10-12, 5-4 SWAC) force four Alabama A&M (5-17, 4-5 SWAC) steals through five minutes of play.
Dhashon Dyson's pull-up jumper put B-CU up, 31-28 before a trip to the free throw line saw Randall make it a 31-30 ballgame heading into halftime.
Darius Osborne's dunk with 11 minutes to play made it 50-46 in favor of the Bulldogs, but a 10-2 B-CU run capped off by a Heady and-one put the Cats up six.

Zion Harmon free throws gave B-CU its largest lead of the night at 63-54 with 5:43 to go, but the Bulldogs would not go quietly. a 6-1 run made it a three-point ballgame, and Omari Peek's three-ball pulled AAMU to within 66-65 with two minutes to play.
The two teams traded baskets until Randall's putback with 25 seconds remaining and a B-CU miss on the other end proved to be the difference as the Bulldogs held on for a 72-68 win.
Prairie View A&M is 9-13 this season, and 4-5 in SWAC play. They split a pair of games last weekend, falling to Texas Southern 69-80 before defeating Arkansas - Pine Bluff, 75-74. The Panthers sit one game behind B-CU in the SWAC standings,
The Panthers average 71.1 points per game and allow an average of 76.9 points per game. They are shooting 41 percent as a team from the field and 31 percent from three.
Graduate guard Charles Smith IV leads the Panthers in scoring, averaging 15 points per game on 42 percent shooting. Junior forward Brian Myles is the SWAC's leading rebounder at 8.2 boards per game.
Defending SWAC champions, Texas Southern is 8-12 this season and 6-3 in SWAC play. They are winners of three straight at Alabama A&M, Alabama State, and Prairie View A&M.
Texas Southern averages 67.2 points per game and allows 71.5 per game. They are shooting 39 percent from the field and 30 percent from three.
Senior guard PJ Henry averages a team-high 14.5 points. The Texas Southern is the second-best rebounding team in the SWAC, averaging 37.1 boards per game. No Tiger averages more than five boards per game.
Bethune-Cookman and Prairie View have met four times previously, splitting the all-time series 2-2. Last time out, B-CU took down the Panthers 60-58, in Prairie View.
Monday marks the seventh all-time meeting between Texas Southern and B-CU. The Wildcats are 1-5 in the all-time series.
