DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -  Haely Grant of B-CU Track & Field and Jakobi Heady of B-CU Men's Basketball have been named Wildcats of the Week for the week of January 12, 2026 through January 18th, 2026.

On the track, Haely Grant earned a seventh-place finish in the 400m at 57.03 at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational in Gainesville. 

Jakobi Heady continued to show his clutch-ability on the road against SWAC foe, Mississippi Valley State. The Wildcats picked up their first SWAC road win of the season, after dropping the last game of a 3-game homestand. In the road match, Heady scored a season-high in points with 23, as well as in assists, with 3. A player that rarely comes off the court, Jakobi was perfect from beyond-the-arc (3-3) and free-throw line (8-8).

Each week, The Bethune-Cookman Office of Athletic Communications recognizes one male and one female student-athlete through the Wildcats of the Week award.

This award recognizes student-athletes who have excelled in competition, in the classroom, and in the community over the past week, exemplifying the Championship Culture of Wildcat Athletics.
