BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Senior guard Jakobi Heady was named Southwestern Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon from the conference headquarters. 

Jakobi Heady's excellent offensive season continued in a pair of games against Southern and Mississippi Valley State. He posted 44 points, seven rebounds, five assists, three steals, and a block as the Wildcats improved to 3-1 in conference play.

It marks the second weekly honor of the season for B-CU, and the second for Heady, who was named SWAC Newcomer of the Week on Nov. 25. 

The Wildcats return to action to host Jackson State in a battle for first place in the SWAC on Saturday, January 24 at 4 p.m. The game is set to be broadcast live on ESPNU.
