DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Diamond Cats had their toughest week of the season so far and Golf competed in Gainesville in their second Invitational of the Spring. For their continued success in 2026,
Lathika Krishna and
Anthony Anselmo, have been named Wildcats of the Week for the week of March 2-March 8.
Lathika Krishna continues to raise the standard in 2026, being the top finisher for the Wildcats for the second straight week. She finished tied for 7th out of all competitors, scoring a +2 in the final round to move up three positions in the leaderboard at the Lady Bison Spring Invitational. She added on to a positive start to the Spring, also being the Wildcats top finisher in the El Campeon Collegiate.
The right-handed senior,
Anthony Anselmo, was electric on the mound for the Wildcats this week. In 5.2 innings of work across two games, he struck out five batters, in key pieces of both the Miami and FGCU matchups. He gave up no runs against FGCU, imperative in the comeback win.
Each week, the Bethune-Cookman Office of Athletic Communications recognizes one male and one female student-athlete through the Wildcats of the Week award.
This award recognizes student-athletes who have excelled in competition, in the classroom, and in the community over the past week, exemplifying the Championship Culture of Wildcat Athletics.
